1958 Silver Metallic Porsche 356A

This 1958 Porsche 356A T2 1600 speedster is a beautiful Silver Metallic color (5706) with green leatherette interior. The green interior color is not seen very often but makes for a nice combination with the silver metallic exterior. This speedster was built on November 11, 1957 according to its certificate of authenticity from Porsche and is a fantastic example of the iconic 356 A.

History:

This speedster spent some time in California before being moved to Phoenix, Arizona and subsequently sold in 1974. At the time of sale it was black on black but, after a few years, the new owner decided to have the car restored. It was completely disassembled and stripped.

It was painted in its original Silver Metallic color and the interior was re-trimmed in the original factory green. A new black convertible top was also installed.

The engine on this Porsche Speedster was completely disassembled and rebuilt. The numbers on the engine and chassis tub are correct and match the Certificate of Authenticity, but it looks like they may have been re-stamped at some time.
